We've Moved the Blog!

We've moved Solstice's blog to GetWellSolstice@blogspot.com!

This blog solsticehae@blogspot.com tells a story of our misdiagnosis of Hereditary Angioedema and the trip we took to get to where we are today.

Now we are on a new journey. The goal has not changed, it's still to find a way for Solstice to live a somewhat normal life, instead of the one filled with constant pain and frustration. We are so thankful for your continued support.

The Disease

Solstice Jensen is a 14 year old living in Broomfield, Colorado. She was recently diagnosed with Hereditary Angioedema. Since she was just a small child, Solstice always had unexplained bouts of pain, mostly in her abdomen and head.

As she grew the pain became more consistent, and we began to search harder for an answer. We've visited with over 25 doctors just in the last three months, and nearly every single one suggested that perhaps a pychatrist should be our next stop.

This disease is often misdiagnosed. Many people don't recieve a diagnoses or treatment until they're in their thirties. Solstice has a severe case, and we are actively searching for doctors who can help keep this disease in check.
